This week Zee SaReGaMaPA has pulled a coup and has created a history of sorts. They finally managed to rope in the ever elusive heartthrob of the millions - the bollywood actor par excellence - Amir Khan as the celebrity guest!!!

He will be there to promote his latest film "Taare Zameen Par”. The show theme for the evening is Amir Khan's hit songs. The show promises a lot of fun, entertainment and fanfare that can only be expected in the company of Amir Khan - the “Masti ki pathshaala” advocator.

Aditya and the L'il Champs kick off the show with the title track of “Taare Zameen Par”. The participants pour their heart and adoration out with outstanding performances of Amir’s songs.


From “Pehla Nasha”, to “Aankhon Se Tune”, to “Mitwaa”, to “O Paalan Haare”, to “Yaaron Sun Lo Zara”, to “Tanhaayi”, to “Mere Haath Mein” – all moods and styles will be covered. Amir is a very gracious guest and offers plenty of encouragement to all the little champs. In fact so impressed is he with the kids’ performances, that he sheds off his serious off-screen image and gets into the groove to shake a leg with Vasundhara for “Aati Kya Khandala”, croon “Aati Kya Khanadala” himself, or enact the famous “Zara AC Idhar Karna” scene from "Rangeela" for Tanmay!

The highlight of the evening however is the very touching, emotional and down to earth exchanges between the two "star struck" superstars – Sonu Nigam and Amir Khan which not only leave the two stars humbled, exhilarated and overwhelmed but also leave the public awestruck seeing this humane “hero-worship” side of two of their favorite heroes.

Aneek Dhar is the Winner of SaReGaMaPa Challenge 2007.

The last two weeks of tension, apprehensions, jubiliations, heart attacks, wishful thinking, the craze that gripped millions of fans who campaigned and voted relentlessly 24/7, have now decided the winner for the much sought after #1 crown. The mandates have chosen the topper.

It is none other than the 18 year old Royal Bengal Cub of Kolkata - Aneek Dhar!! He beat Bikaner’s Raja Hasan and Pakistan’s Amanat Ali to take the title “Vishvayudh ka Vijeta”. Raja was declared the first runner up and Amanat the second runner up in the closely contested finals. Poonam was declared one of the “Spark of the show”. Mauli got the performer of the show crown for her first performance on Maiya Maiya.

The grand finale, which was held in Mumbai's Andheri Sports Complex on October 13, saw thousands of fans waiting breathlessly for the results, while millions others watched it from their homes. The show was a lavish and extravagant affair and the stadium was packed to capacity. All the top 12 were back on stage performing and it was really nice to see them all enjoying so well. The episode lasted for 4 hours with some nostalgic performances by the mentors, host, all the contesttants and by the past contestants. The results indicate that this show has received a record-breaking 106,144,334 votes collected worldwide for the Grand Finale. Aneek received a total vote count of 3,65,89,134 votes, while first runner up Raja Hasan receieved 352,40,963 votes and second runner up Amanat Ali received 3,43,14,257 votes.

The show surprise was Akshay’s live performance and he sang quite well. The three winners gave very touching thank you speech and behaved with a lot of dignity, making the viewers emotional as well. They surely made a place in everyone’s hearts. The musical journey that started 6 months back surely got a fitting closure.

Yes! The one and only Shahrukh Khan delights the SRGMP contestants by not only meeting them personaly but showing them why he is what he is today - the Badhsah of Bollywood!

Shahrukh could not make it to the episode whenOm Shanti Om team visited the SaReGaMaPa sets. It was the T20 finals and he was cheering the Indian cricket Team on that day at South Africa. But the contestants got the chance to meet this Super Star on 26^th September when he was shooting for an ad film at a studio in Andheri east.

The contestants were too upbeat meeting the King Khan especially Aneek Dhar. " What can I say? He is such a big man and I never thought I'll get to meet him. He never got to see my performances except for Ek Chatur Naar and was full of praise for that."

So what did King Khan have to say about that performance, we asked and Aneek replied laughing "He was impressed not just with my performance but also my get-up. He commented – Beta what "Mast" you were looking with all that moustaches and all, looked just like a hero. On top of it you sang so well too." Coming from the King Khan himself, to Aneek this was a compliment of a life time. On Sharukh's request he sang the song "Satrangi" which Aneek feels is a matter of honour for him. He now has just one wish – He gets the chance to do playback singing for Sharukh soon.

We also asked Raja about this meet and found even he was too overwhelmed and happy meeting the Hero. "I simply loved the man, his style everything. Best was the way he treated us. He was so friendly as if he knew us for long. He is such a simple and down to earth person. Not for once we felt we were meeting a Star. In our own language I would use just one word for him – "Milansaar". That's how we found found him."

Amanat too had almost the same feelings as the other two. "He is such a simple man. We felt as if we know each other for many years now. The way he was hugging us, holding our hands and wishing us, it was too overwhelming. Never dreamt that I would get to meet him and that too at such close quarters!! He even asked us for refreshments but we refused as for us meeting him was enough in itself. He even signed autographs in our diaries."

We are sure these contestants would go back from this contest with some really nice memories and from their comments it looks like this meeting with King Khan would always be a memorable day for them.

'Dhamaal' on the sets of SaReGaMaPa this Week!
A surprise package awaits all the viewers in SaReGaMaPa this week;make sure to have a laugh riot with the comedy songs theme.

This week SRGMP is heading towards a fun filled episode. Friday being the elimination day everyone waits with baited breath for the results. But this Friday, the theme being Comedy Songs, there’s a lot of fun on the sets too. To promote the movie “Dhamaal” and to add to the comedy atmosphere around the sets, renowned comedian actor Asrani along with actor Ashish Chaudhuri join the contestants. To everyone’s surprise, Arshad Warsi also walked down to the sets of SRGMP. These three then make sure to create a real “Dhamaal” on the sets, sending everyone into a laughter riot with their non stop jokes.

It would be Raja who is going to steal everyone’s eye by singing the song of Kishore Kumar “Aa ke Sheedi Lagi dil pe jaise katariya..o sanwaria”. He would be coming on to the stage in male and female attire and sing the song in both the voices. Raja would be more overwhelmed when he comes to know that Shankar, Ehsaan & Loy have signed him for their next movie. Even Aneek and Sumedha are going to give brilliant never seen before performances.

Himesh Rashamiya will be on cloud nine as this week, both contestants of his Rock Gharana find their position among top three - Aneek becomes the titan of the week by regaining his top position and Mussarat takes the third. Raja is few votes short of Aneek and makes to second position. Also get prepared for a very surprising elimination!!

Saturday, the contestants sing songs of their favourite actors. Aneek maintains the same genre chooses another Sonu Nigam song. He sings the title song of “Kal Ho Na Ho”. Sumedha comes up with Jadoo hai nasha hai while Mussarat makes sure to entertain with the song “dulhe ka sehra”. Raja is not far behind and retains the musical treat provided by other participants by singing “Pardesi Jaana Nahin”. Aneek and Amanat find themselves in a hilarious but embarrassing situation when both sing romantic songs. Their mentors Himesh and Ismal Durbar make sure to cash on the love triangle issue again. There were some surprise visitors for Musarrat on the sets. Lot of fans of his had come from Kolkata, just to watch his performance. Bappida also makes an announcement in the show that Pritamji has called him to sign Mauli for his forthcoming movie.

The SRGMP sets turning into a village in no time with the arrival of the Railway Minister, Laloo Prasad Yadav – who is popular among all the age groups
Saturday 28th August saw a very special guest on the sets of SRGMP. It was none other than the Railways Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav. And as usual the presence of Laloo Yadav creates the best possible atmosphere that one can expect. Everyone see him acting the in the same Laloo style even at the sets of SRGMP. To keep up the Indian tradition, Laloo had wished that everything be “Desi” in the show when he makes his visit and the contestants, production house and others made sure to keep his wish. They all come adorned in traditional Indian dress with Raja even wearing a “Pagri” in Rajasthani attire while Aditya and Aneek in traditional Dhoti Kurta.

It is not only the contestants' attire and songs on the sets that impress this esteemed minister, but also the sets that was designed by the channel house especially for his visit. What better would be perfect for this man other than the setup of a rural village of India? Yes, come Saturday the whole SRGMP set is going to light up into a rural village. All we can find is the traditional Water wells with hut cut-outs and jute cots. To add to the perfect ambience - herd of goats can also be seen. The only thing probably missing would be cattle! Of course Lalooji being the guest and the set being made just to impress him, how can they miss out on the 'famous' Pan Shop! Yes, the set would be having even that!!

With all these colorful setting and perfect environment, how can the contestants fail to give excellent performances? The Top 7 left no stone unturned to make Lalooji feel special with their traditional performances. Lalooji’s presence and no Bhojpuri song sung would be incomplete,isn't it? Amanat Ali gives a breathtaking performance on a Bhojpuri song "Kashi heele Mathura heele, Chapra heele la, tohri lachke jab kamriya, saara jeela heele la.", and makes sure to rock the stage. While Aneek brings back nostalgic childhood memories for Lalooji with his song "sa ra ra ra ra, dekho holi aaye re" as this is the one song which he used to enjoy during his childhood days.

The big question here arises - What about Lalooji’s comments on the performances and music? Nothing to worry there… He is going to give really motivational speech on Music enthralling the contestants and audience. They would also have to listen to some of his enthralling speech on Government system. But before leaving the sets, he is going to make sure to cheer the contestants and give them moral support.
