Zee TV’s immensely popular Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li‘l Champs has announced that the hunt for India’s most promising young voice has reached a crucial turning point. The series that kicked off with twenty-eight young aspirants from across the globe has lent the children a golden platform to showcase their talent. The kids are being groomed by none other than Sonu Niigaam and Suresh Wadkar. Featuring some of the bollywood’s biggest names on its panel of celebrity judges the show has successfully made its popular anchor Aditya Narayan a national heartthrob and its little contestants household names.

Speaking on the latest developments on the show, Tarun Mehra, Zee TV, Business Head said, “We are proud that Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs has met with a stupendous response from an audience that cuts across barriers of age, demographics and culture. The show has now reached an exciting milestone with only 9 super-talented kids vying for the title. With each child delivering stellar performances episode after episode, there’s no predicting who could emerge victorious. Needless to say, we are headed for a nail-biting finalé. And it’s now time for the public to ensure that their favourite contestant makes it to the top.”

The 9 chote ‘Mahaarathis’ who will be seen braving the battle are Lucknow ke chote nawab Tanmay Chaturvedi, papa ke ankhon ka tara Nagpur ka Rohit Shyam Raut, Delhi ka Shahrukh Vibhor Parashar, Delhi ki roshni Vasundhara Raturi, Prince of Patiala Sardar Rohanpreet Singh, Surma bhopali Aamir Hafiz, Bhopal ki chimnee Vaishali Raikwar, the Li’l poetess Mariani Assam ki Anamika Choudhari and Tripura ki aandhi Smita Nandi.

Also biting their nails would be the mentors, Sonu Nigam and Suresh Wadkar, who have invested great time and effort in grooming them.

The twenty-eight contestants who made it to the show have enjoyed the opportunity of learning from fraternity stalwarts and celebrities such as Sonu Niigaam, Suresh Wadkar, Asha Bhosale, Karisma Kapur, Aamir Khan, Soha Ali Khan, Mithun Da, Amrita Rao, Usha Uthup and Alka Yagnik. What a joyride!

Suresh Wadkar is one of the leading classical singers of the present times who had made significant contribution in bollywood films. When he was young he learnt music from Pandit Jialal Vasant.
